It was definitely an interesting season the Rattlers gave us. Up and down to say the least. Some games they looked horrible, some games they looked great, seems like a lot started off slow on offense, then they came back to make it a game. They played better on the road than at home.
Making the playoffs was great, however losing to Grand Rapids the way they lost is not good. Watching four straight running plays from the 3 yard line fail is ridiculous. Our Offensive Coordinator, Skip Foster who is supposed to be innovative on the offensive side of the ball ran the ball four straight time, three with the QB.
I certainly hope Foster looks at his play calling because it seemed like he was not sure what to do. One pass play may have been nice or having a actual FB run the ball would have been better options.
Overall I believe the defense did a good job. Giving up 48 points is not that bad in the AFL. Yes the defense needs work, hopefully Coach Guy will address that as well.
To all my fellow Rattler Fans, have a good off-season and hopefully you will be back next year. I'm already renewed.
