What is up with the ESPN power rankings?!? We are number 12! WTE?
We have beaten the number 10 and number 8 team, and blew away the number 7 ranked team!
And we are 12th!?!
We have a better record than 3 of the 4 above us!
We almost beat number 3!
I wonder where they'll put us in 3 weeks after we have beaten number 6 and number 2!

This is about as ridiculous as the officiating at the Spurs' game!

Who cares where they put us in the rankings? Those rankings don't mean anything, so why are you crying about being 12th? It's not like the rattlers gain anything extra by having a higher ESPN ranking. Would it have put a smile on your face if the rattlers were ranked 9th instead? I mean come on, the only numbers you should be concerned about is the Rattlers record, and how just making the playoffs this year isn't good enough. We need some home field advantage. You should probably play more time paying attention to those numbers as opposed to ESPN's rankings.

Actually the Rattlers do gain something by good rankings on ESPN... It's called RESPECT - something they are not getting from very many people. I know the rankings don't have anything to do with our record, standings, or playoff seed, Mr. Obvious. Respect is something that you should get from all of those things. Respect is one of the things that help you play better. Kind of like Sed deserved RESPECT but is now playing (and winning) with a team that gave him his deserved respect instead of here. And I'm not just talking about a feeling that these guys need. I am talking about winning games and improving that record you are hung up on by getting the calls on the field that go with having the respect. I am not saying that the ESPN power rankings rule the league or anything. I am stating that lack of respect for the Rattlers is occuring. I am worried about the Rattlers record and not just because of the lousy guarantee. I am not taking time away from the Rattlers numbers to look at the ESPN rankings I am doing both. It's addition not division.

I'm with you Mr. Phil !! It is about respect. An uncalled for personal foul penalty late in a tight game...NO RESPECT ! Owneship who let a male fan wear personalized Rattler jerseys, with the names Eaton-Bever on the back, and the latest AI-TAP-OOSIE. Several fans were very unhappy. How can we bring our families to these games with that out there? Then an owner that has friends/family bother him by blowing in his ears, and kissing his neck, while he is getting interviewd during the game, by Fox Sports...once again NO RESPECT ! iT ALL ADDS UP !

You guys are confusing two topics here and trying to link them together. The way the team is playing has nothing to do with the owner of the team being interviewed and kissed on tv. The new owner Brett Bouchy is for lack of a better phrase, a douche bag. I hear him on 98 KUPD a lot hearing him, basically throwing money around. The Rattlers will make the playoffs, who knows how far they will go however, and Bouchy will gain all this media attention, even though he has turned Rattlers games into something completely different to what they once were. Let's face it, this new ownership sucks. I wonder if they read these message boards, because if they did, they might make some changes and a lot more people would be satisfied.

The Sport Network does rankings as well and the Arena rankings are voted on by 22 arena football experts. They have the Rattlers at #9.

On the other note (and I agree it is another note)... once more I will state that Brett "The Snake" Bouchy is NOT the owner! He is the "Managing Partner" as is referenced on this Rattlers' website. And he doesn't seem to understand how to manage!

HE wants to be the owner so HE tells everyone that he is. The KUPD listeners, the FSN viewers, the ESPN viewers, everyone. He is a self-centered arrogant man who is after personal recognition, fame, and fortune. Google his name sometime and refresh yourself with his last stint in Arizona.

I am a Rattlers fan for the players, for the Team, and for the rest of us fans, especially the ones that have supported these guys for many years.
Our biggest quandary is that we want the Rattlers to win the Arena Bowl, but in so doing they would make "The Snake" look like a genius. Then we're stuck.

Hopefully this all works out for the betterance of the team.
I'm behind them. And I hope all of us Rattlers fans are backing the team. But I can not endorse supporting "The Snake". Remember how great it was in the day when Bobby ran things?

I have no complaints about Mr. Bouchy as a person. But I took your advice and googled his name.
