“The fans were the ones that made the difference tonight,” said Rattlers Head Coach KEVIN GUY. “They brought a great energy to the game.”

It wasn't exactly easy doing our job last night. The USAIRWAYS security tried to stop us.

I kid you not, I was stopped on my way into the game by a security guard that would not allow my megaphone into the arena. Yes, the 8 inch plastic megaphone that you buy for $4.00 in the team shop.

I was coming in the north entrance next to the team shop and was held aside while he waited for his supervisor to come check my contraband. Apparently, the security had a briefing before the game where they were given a list of items that made too much noise. They were told that they were not to allow items into the arena that induced too much noise. Ironically, the supervisor told me that I could bring in a small airhorn, but not my voice-powered megaphones.
A quiet Snake pit?!? I returned to my vehicle and unloaded my megaphones and was then allowed into the arena. At this point I walked straight into the team shop, purchased the exact same megaphone I had just discarded and walked back to the security officer. I used the megaphone to get his attention and then yelled through my megaphone to him "Ha ha, I have a magaphone inside the building!" and then walked to my seat.
Having thwarted the attempts to take the crowd out of the game, I proceeded to do my part to the team get the win last night.
