When we arrived at the VooDoo game tonight, there were four people sitting in our $46 per ticket seats (we have four tickets in the Casino Arizona section). We have been there for seven years now.
We were told that anyone can sit anywhere if the seats are not taken before game time (we were a little late), so four guys with $8 tickets were in our seats.
The waitress told us we could sit somewhere else, which we did, in the row in front of our normal seats.
Of course, a football landed in our season tickets seats.
Dear Rattlers, your new rule sucks. If we have to move from the seats we have purchased at a premium for the last seven years because of your "sit where you want after the game starts policy", I am not coming back.
I used to own 8 season tickets, down to four tickets, no more meals and drinks included and no more guaranteed seats. I will not be back next year.
Note to management - don't ever create a rule where season ticket holders must give up their seats to free loaders if they are late to the game. I will not be back, period. Goodbye.

Sorry to hear you wont be going back next season. You are certainly welcome at the San Jose Sabercats, they will gaurantee a reserved seat for you, they have several season ticket packages that include food and various freebies. You would have a great time and you will be treated as a true season ticket holder......come on out for a great winning experience.

The whole vibe has changed this year! Not near as much excitement/electricity of past years. Who are all the people with the Rattler colored ticket holders around their necks ? I'm guessing this so called " Chairman's Club." They bring all their friends, family, etc.. that have no tickets in our area. They all move down to the 1st 3 rows, and then could give a crap about the game! People coming, and going, inviting all their kids down. I missed a a few crucial plays (What little there were) because these people kept getting in the way. So I can buy a $8.00 tickets and have my family move down? Or not renew my Touchdown club seats, and do the same ? Hhhmmm

I agree. Next year we will purchase $8 seats and then move to the section we already own $46 seats.

This is what you said last year!I for one will not be renewing my 8 season tickects after watching this team decay for the last three years. I expect a lot of fans will join me. Maybe management will wake up when you start drawing 4,000 fans a game because we are heading that way.
on another post you did say that you were a little harsh on the Rattlers and that you would be renewing 4 instead of 8.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you are not coming back next year because they changed a rule about seating and because they are not going to feed you? If you knew about the rule why does it surprise you that someone was in your seat. You did say you were late so you should have known. I'm sure that if you had shown the guys in your seats that those were yours they would have moved. The section I am in everyone is very nice to each other and will move if they are in someones seat.
Also one other question - How many years have you been sitting in the Casino Arizona section? 7 or 3?

1. 7 seven years overall, I was speaking about the decay over the last three years. The performance decay is the reason we reduced our seats from 8 to 4, we could no longer fill them.
2. I was not aware of the "sit where you want" rule until last week's game. According to the ushers, it is a new rule. If I would have known about it before the season, no, I would not have renewed my season tickets.
3. Last time we asked someone to move, they started harrassing us. We were very polite. They were four yahoo drunkin' cowboys. We finally got the ushers to move them, and they picked a fight with us after the game in the Lexus lounge. Our teenage daughter and friend were with us and they started hitting on them. They were 14. Earlier the same game, two guys sat down and started throwing diner knives on the field. They were removed by the ushers and then the police.
3. Now we go straight to the ushers so we will not be threatened. They told us to sit somewhere else.
4. We did not know about the loss of food service until we already purchased our season tickets. The credit for the $15 will be credited to next year's season ticket price (why didn't they just refund our credit card?). It is not like they feed us as you state, it used to be part of the ticket price.
5. You are correct, we should just give up our seats, sit anywhere and if we are asked to move, tough luck. Sorry for complaining. Last time I checked, I purchased these tickets for these seats and I should not have to move for someone with $8 seats. If this is the case, why have seat assignments at all? Open seating and pay what you want?

1. I actually increased my season tickets from 5 to 10. True the performance last year was not up to par but some friends went to a few games last year and now they are hooked - win or lose.
2. The whole refund thing is kinda weird they have done that to me before - I'm not sure they know how to actually refund back to your cards and just make it roll over into the next season.
3. You are the one who stated something about food "no more meals and drinks included" I understand that is included in the ticket price but if you have a problem with no meals and drinks included then tell MANAGEMENT!
The whole ticket thing is strange - aren't the $8 seats upper level? I wish my tickets only cost $8 it would make buying the $6 drinks for 6 people a little easier. Oh well the price to have fun doesn't come cheap!
I hope you reconsider renewing - why not just change where you sit? I did 2 years ago and I really like where I sit now.

1. Refunding a credit card is very easy to do. I own a retail business. It benefits them not to - it is money in the bank.
2. Why don't we just move? We like our seats! We have infants and young ones with us and it makes it easy to bring them to a game - the sight lines are not the best but we like the space.
3. Here is an anology. You build your dream home on a piece of property that is zoned for home owners. The city then takes your home and asks you to move somewhere else because they want to build a freeway now. What would you do? Pick up and move? and if you did move, what if someone already lived in the location that you moved to and asked you to move again? I supose you would not complain?

Ok I understand that about the refunding a credit card it makes sense I was just stating my opinion about it and how they do not want to give you the refund and make it roll over into the next year that way when they tell you what you owe for your season tickets they can say you have a credit in the amount of....It also ensures that they (possibly) have a season ticket holder for the next season.
I have an infant and young ones that go to the games with me and we have plenty of room where we are!
"Here is an anology"
ANALOGY
I see no analogy between your problem and mine.
OR
Did you mean Onology
ONOLOGY
Foolish discourse. Nonsense that one is talking or speaking.
Building a house in a zoned area and changing seats at a football game is not even close to being the same thing. I DO NOT live at the Arena. If I had a problem with my seats I would take it up with Management.

You are correct, I should not complain about it. I was just venting after having to move from the seats I paid for, my bad, and stupid me for purchasing these seats in the first place, what an idiot I am. After all, it is my fault for not getting the seats I paid for, how ignorant I am for expecting this.
I did mention it to management and they said they would look into it and get back to me.
Throwing knives onto the field and getting harrassed by drunkin' cowboys and getting forced to move and having our food deducted from our service and not getting refunded, and allowing people sit in our seats at a 600% discount is all part of the game and experience, and we should expect it and if we do not like it, we do not have to renew our tickets, you are correct.
By the way, an analogy is defined as a similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar - you do not want to take it as literal, much like sarcasm, it is a form of expression and making a point.

True - I was not taking it literal, I understood that you were making a point and so was I. I understand the venting - everyone has to do it from time to time. I did know the definition for analogy.
Ok people throwing knives onto the field and hitting on teenagers should not be part of the experience. Having a good time and going home practically broke
IS part of the experience.

I really like the "move down" rule during games --as it means you can get great unused seats and it means more fans near the field --to make noise. BUT... It seems obvious to me that you should move down at your peril --if the season ticket holder shows up, you need to move. How difficult is that?
Come on Rattlers Mgmt, modify the policy to keep season ticket holders happy.
Note to self: Move Down next game!!!

How would someone know if you had left your seats to use the restroom or if you were late to the game when you come back to your seats?
