I hear Danny White stated that Hunkie has been relieved of all duties with the Utah Blaze.
I suspect there is mass chaos in the Utah locker room. It looks to be fact that there is mass chaos on the playing field.
5 losses in a row this season and I think they play one of the top teams in the league this week, Philly.
I would speculate that Hunkie will feel that jobs are going to be easy to get in the AFL, but I have my doubts that Hunkie will be on anyone's radar for coaching. Hall of Fame player, YES. Hall of Fame coach, no way!

I would almost think Hunkie would be relieved to be out of Utah. It would be nice to see Hunkie come back to the Rattlers organization in some capacity. Not as a coach at this time but maybe he can help evaluate talent. Just a thought.
Also, a lot of fans in the Valley who don't follow the team anymore or never followed the team however, know Hunkie's name, so he may be able to help drum up some excitement for the team.

Here's the official press release from the Blaze:
Tuesday April 1, 2008
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Blaze announce today that Defensive Backs Coach Hunkie Cooper has been released from his coaching responsibilities.
“This was a mutual agreement based on our immediate need to get more out of the players we have under the current circumstances,” said Blaze head coach/general manager DANNY WHITE. “This decision is not necessarily a reflection of Hunkie’s coaching ability. Rather, it is different approach and an effort to move in another direction based on the outcome of our inconsistent performance on the defensive side of the ball.”
I'd like to find out more about what happened. I hope Hunkie finds another arena job.
