The top 6 (of 8) teams in the conference make the playoffs.

The Rattlers are currently number 5, with 1-2 record.

Three teams, with zero wins, are below the Rattlers.

Well we are yet another game closer to free tickets.... that is if the ownership group actually keeps the team after this season.

Anyone else notice that after we win in Tampa Bay this week, we will be tied for the second best record in our conference? And after Philly whips San Jose we will look even better. Especially after Colorado loses to a good Gladiators' team and Orlando beats Grand Rapids. And once we get a QB that gets into a rhythm with the talented group of receivers we have, there is no telling where we'll go.
Anyway, let's stay focused on the Storm, for now.
The farther we move away from our money back, the better I feel.
Fez
I see no chance of finishing in the bottom 2. But time will tell...

So here we sit atop our division only 6 games into the season. We're second in our conference behind Sed's Chicago Rush. We have a quarterback that looks better each time we see him and gets 63 points per game that he finishes. We have a defense that has its ups and downs but looks pretty solid overall. I'm still hoping that we not only don't receive any money back but continue to get better and gel as a team.
Way to go Rattlers!
Mark Saw
Our conference is almost as bad as the Eastern conf in the NBA!
It's like "who's going to play Dallas or Philly in the Arenabowl?"

Like Job Bon Jovi said Friday night in his Rattlers jersey "Go check the
Rattlers out when you have a chance"

I was glad to Jon Bon Jovi bring up the Rattlers during the concert, which he did on a couple of occasions.

Now the Ratts needs to focus on Friday night and beat the VooDoo.

We may get screwed out of our free season next year since our division just royally sucks..... how exciting will it be for Rattler fans for us to limp into the playoff's with a loosing record, and then get blow out in the first round...... WHOOO HOOO.... we made the playoff's big deal... If we can't even contend or make a run at the arena bowl then I'd rather be able to cash in on my free tickets...

this team sucks........ i've been a season ticket hold for going on 10 years now, and this the absolute worst team i've ever seen in AZ...... The Voodoo's best player on Friday night was the Rattler's QB.... I think he got confused on which guys to throw to.... Someone should have explained to him that in practice her wears a different colored jersey then his recievers so that the def guys know he's the QB and not supposed to be hit... but on game days it's ok to throw to the guys in the same colored jersy....

i know i'm going to get bashed on this board... but you can't say that this team actually looks good on a consistant basis and even stands a chance of beating the upper tier teams.....

WOW!! you got some big ones - If you want to talk about a team that sucks take a look at Utah! They have yet to win one game. True Campbell played lousy and it is the first game that I have been to where I actually yelled "You Suck" referring to our Team (QB). When you talk about consistency you need to remember that this team is practically new. They are still ironing out all the "problems" that they have. The upper tier teams are good teams that have been a "team" for more than a few months. This team has not been doing very well for a few years now and I am shocked when people on here are saying can't wait to get a free season and then say I'm done with this team becasue they suck. Would you make up your mind are you done with the team or are you going to remain a fan whether or not you get the money back. I honestly don't want my money back. If we make the playoffs by the skin of our teeth then we have done better than last year! That is the way I am looking at it - I'm not bashing you just stating my opinions about it all. I DO agree with what you have said about Campbell - Someone in my group said it looked like he was trying to try out for the VooDoo.

Wow things are tightening up. But with the Blaze and Brigade both winning on the same weekend for the FIRST time this season, we actually need to be nervous. Add to that Lang is out for the year and we're playing Dallas this week, and its time to sweat.

That said, I'd love to host a home playoff game, if we can pull that off then I will certainly renew my season tickets early --since the team offered free tickets to the playoffs if you renew by early June.

4 of 5 remaining games against teams below Rattlers,
Losses will be critical going forward,

American Conference,
2 teams .500 or better,
3-8 (.273) currently gets in playoffs,

National Conference,
2 teams below .500,
6-4 (.600) currently gets in playoffs

Home playoff feels secure, but 3 of last 4 games against lower ranked confernce teams

4 games left, Rattlers 3 games up on #7 KC

So here we sit with a playoff berth. YES! And with the momentum we have going we can make a legitimate run in the post season, too. And we've proven in Dallas that we can win any game against anyone. Life is good.
Rattlersninthman
A playoff spot has been achieved. That makes this thread irrelevant because it has run it's course. The playoff guarantee "status" will not change.

A new thread is needed if folks want to talk about playoff positioning. I think I'll start one...
cwbristow@cox.net
The Rattlers, having secured a playoff spot, now work toward a playoff bye week.
So.... What the status of the playoff position?
The Ratters won this week and have locked up a home playoff game.
Hope still exists for a playoff bye week, although San Jose only needs to winn one of two home games to secure the 2 spot and the bye week.
Looks like the Rattlers road to the bowl goes thru San Jose,
San Jose won both meetings with the Rattlers this year.
What are the odds the Rattlers play at home against Utah in last game of season, then again in first round of playoffs, then go to San Jose.
WOW
What a rivalry lineup
Utah,Utah,San Jose
Wouldn't that be great!!!!!!
