Congratulations to the team and to Coach Guy! I wish I could have seen this one!

Big win for the team. Coach Guy said on Monday that he preferred starting out on the road so you can "clean up your mistakes before you play in front of your fans."
The way I see it, the Rattlers made very few mistakes in this game. The Campbell fumble, the Campbell interception (Germaine was picked off twice, so that's a wash) and turning the ball over on downs in the fourth quarter. The Rattlers were able to overcome all of these, and I'm sure the coaches will talk about them during practice this week so I am looking forward to Monday night even more now, if that's possible.
Speaking of Monday, Sherdrick Bonner and the Chicago Rush take on the San Jose SaberCats on Monday night on the ESPN game of the week. I'll be watching that one.

A win to start the season is nice, plus against a division opponent makes it better. Being down by two scores, they hung in there and fought hard on every play it seems. Considering our Rattlers are mostly one and two year players, and 3/4 brand new it was a big win. I have a feeling a lot of the games this year will be like the opener. As long as they keep fighting and trying on every play, I for one believe our Rattlers can come out on the winning end more often than not. Hopefully they will.
