So far the following have been signed according to AFL Transactions List:

Keyuo Craver

Darrell Jones

Tyrone Sanders

Rufus Skilleren

Frank Trentadue

I do not know who is already under contract before the release of this information.
Ratt Mike
Very nice to see the signings. Re-signing D. Jones was a good move IMO. Coming off ankle surgery Jones looked good this past year and will only get better. I am expecting a big year from D Jones in 08.

In a recent article on Azrattlers.com it stated that the Rattlers had 12 total PLayers under contract.

The five signed on the 14th and seven more.

Does anyone know for sure who the other seven Players under contract are?

I cn tell you that the SaberCats have all their players signed except for Mark Grieb (QB) and Mat Kissenger (RB/FB). The entire defensive unit including the number 1 defensive backfield is under contract. So, coach Guy will not be pulling any of the SJ def players. I would suggest Columbus (SJ love the Columbus defense, LOL)

Well, SaberCatFanatic, I can tell you this - the Rattlers hired Kevin Guy to be their Head Coach and gave him authority over all football operations. They did not hire "Kevin Guy and a bunch of SaberCat players to be named later." We don't need your players because, as Coach Guy pointed out, the Rattlers lost 7 games by a TD or less last season. We don't need to rebuild, we just need to retool.

The Rattlers also brought in a strong investment group to partner with Bobby Hernreich and they have promised to take care of all the off-the-field problems such as sagging attendance. I've been a season ticket holder long enough that I remember when teams used to fear coming to the Snake Pit because of the fans as much as because of the Rattlers. I have every confidence that Brett Bouchy and Company will get us back to those days.

You know, it's comments like this one and your earlier comment about "too many cooks" that leads me to one conclusion.

Although you say that you want the Rattlers to return to elite status so that the rivalry between our teams returns to what it once was, I sense that you are really very afraid of what the new ownership group and the new Head Coach will really accomplish: dominance over the SaberCats.

Yeah, I smell fear in your ramblings, SaberCatFanatic.

SaberCatFanatic
LOL! That was funny! The question that I have for you is: Was the SaberCat D good because of coach Guy or was coach Guy good because of the SaberCat D? I certainly don't want to speak bad about coach Guy, but I do think a lot of his success was due to the players, not the coaching. Remember coach Guy was not your first choice, wasn't he number 3 or 4 on the desired list?!

As for the added ownership investment, that definately was a good thing for the Rattlers and the League. If your ownership and coach Guy can pull off a winning season this year or next, then that will be better competition for the Cats and the division. It will produce an even more exciting season.

As for "smelling fear"......don't they say that Rattle Snake tastes like chicken........hmmmm wonder if there is a correlation????

Thanks, SaberCatFanatic -

You have confirmed my suspicion that you are very afraid of what the Rattlers will soon become. Your posts are becoming predictable.

You start off your post with an unanswerable question. You might as well have asked me the old question "if a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, did it make a noise." I don't know the answer to that question any more than I know whether the SaberCat "D" was good because of Coach Guy or in spite of Coach Guy.

Then in the same paragraph, you again attempt to denegrate our choice of Head Coach. I suspect that is because your team will miss him way more than you will ever admit. I believe that's called denial, which is a fairly common reaction to fear.

You go on to once again commend us on the new ownership and state it will be good for "the Rattlers and the League" and "for the Cats and the division." Such high praise in light of the fact that you supposedly don't think too much of our choice of Head Coach indicates that you are confused, no doubt a product of your ever-growing fear of the Rattlers. You sense the end of the San Jose era of domination. You feel it coming and it burns deep down inside.

Finally, you inappropriately throw in another trite, over-used cliche. Rattle Snake tastes like chicken... if I had collected a quarter for every time someone used that phrase on message boards, I would be part owner of the Rattlers!

Denial. Confusion. Inappropriate use of trite cliches in place of original thought. All signs of a deep seated psychosis. I recommend that you consult professional help.

Keep posting your deepest thoughts here SaberCatFanatic. Witnessing your steady decline is rather entertaining.

PUT THE CRACK PIPE DOWN........your post was funny. Fear? Gee, I guess you figured me out, Im shaking in my boots right now. Oh hell I'll just give up and throw away my season tickets....your winner of a team definately is going to be undefeated and dispell the ghosts of the first two Arenabowls where SJ humiliated AZ, espcially the AB there in AZ. obviously, your QB is better than SJ's, your D-backfiels is just awesome and you have the number 1 coaching staff-SJ's coaching staff has never really accomplished anything..............your just such a funny guy.....thanks for the good laugh!

Your babbling is becoming even more incoherent with each passing day. You are now rambling about the past. We acknowledge the past accomplishments of the San Jose organization, however, fear is not tied to the past. It's the future that you fear.

Now SaberCrackFanatic claims to have sat in on the meetings on our head coach hiring. Us from the outside do not know that Kevin was our 3rd or 4th choice as you claim. As far as I know, our first choice was likely to have been Doug Plank, but after that, I am quite sure Kevin was on equal footing as any other prospect. Once the actual interviews took place, I can assure you that Kevin was and IS the Rattlers #1 choice for head coach.
